Cynthia Metz and Gerard McDonough were united in marriage Jan. 3 at St. Phillip Church in Pittsburgh. The Rev. Walt Dworak officiated. A reception followed at Tonidale.
The bride is the daughter of James and Donna Metz of West Sunbury. Parents of the bridegroom are Gerald and Donna McDonough of Pittsburgh.
The honor attendant was Alison Metz of West Sunbury. Bridesmaids included Kristy Metz of Austin, Texas, and Erin McDonough of Pittsburgh. The flower girl was Rylee Bush of Pittsburgh.
Performing the duties of best man was Matt McDonough of Pittsburgh. Ushers included James Metz of West Sunbury and Graham Mcdonough of Pittsburgh. The ring bearer was Marshall Schmidt of Pittsburgh.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Moniteau High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She is a graduate student at Duquesne University.
The bridegroom graduated in 2001 from Carlynton High School and in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh. He is employed by the Pittsburgh public school district.
Following a honeymoon trip to Hawaii in August, the couple is making their home in Pittsburgh.
