Chobot, Hokanson
Sarah Chobot of Philadelphia and David Hokanson of Ithaca, N.Y., were united in marriage June 28 at Sheldrake Point Vineyards in Ovid, N.Y. Roger Rector, justice of the peace, officiated. A reception followed at Simply Red Bistro.
The bride is the daughter of Stephen and Jayne Chobot of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Thomas and Helen Hokanson of Florence, S.C., and the late Judith Hokanson.
The honor attendant was Jennifer Chobot of Butler. The flower girl was Olivia Spencer of Quinby, S.C.
Performing the duties of best matron was Jane Bennett of Westborough, Mass. Ushers included Elliot Roth of New York.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Butler High School and a 2005 graduate of Boston University. She is a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania.
The bridegroom graduated from Fairmont Senior High School in 1998, from Ohio University in 2002 and from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. He is a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University.
Following a honeymoon trip to Cancun, the couple is making their home in Ithaca, N.Y.
