SV student charged with sex crimes involving minor
A former Seneca Valley High School student who allegedly received indecent photos of a minor has more charges against him for a separate incident.
Joshua C. Speicher, 19, of Cranberry was arrested and charged Tuesday one month after having a sexual encounter with a girl under the age of 13.
He is now in Butler County Jail awaiting his preliminary hearing next Tuesday.
Police reports say a faculty member made a call about the Feb. 5 incident to ChildLine.
The girl was given a forensic interview by the Butler County Alliance for Children. She said Speicher kissed her and fondled her breasts outside her clothing. He also pulled his pants down.
Speicher faces charges of indecent assault, corruption of minors, harassment, open lewdness and endangering the welfare of children.
Speicher was charged last month with felony possession of child pornography. He will be arraigned at Butler County Court for that charge on April 19.
Both incidents took place while he was a student at the high school. He is no longer enrolled, school officials said.
A complete report will appear in Thursday's Butler Eagle.
