Driver hurt when Jeep crashes along Route 8
BUTLER TWP — A driver was hurt in a single-vehicle crash around 7:30 p.m. Friday on Route 8.
The driver of a white Jeep was transported by Butler Ambulance to a nearby hospital after crashing into an embankment at the split near the Picklegate Bridge.
The vehicle sustained heavy damage to the front and rear-ends.
Traffic continued around the scene as the Jeep was towed away.
Township police called Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for a broken sign and an electric company was to fix a broken utility pole.
The Butler Township Fire District also responded to the call.
