Stewart sets record for Warriors
Moniteau’s Gabby Stewart set one school record and came very close to another one at last Thursday’s Redbank Valley Girls Track and Field Invitational.
The freshman eclipsed the Warriors’ standard in the 100-meter dash, placing third with a time of 12.6 seconds. The old record was 12.8 from 1993.
Stewart tied the school record in the 200 dash with a first-place time of 26.5.
Also claiming titles at the event were Kristin McDeavitt in the 400 run (1:05.3) and Maura Kimmel in the shot put (33 feet, six inches).
