Rockets score 1-0 softball victory
Joella Neal drove in Cheyenne Hindman with a single in the fourth inning to help Slippery Rock defeat Meadville in a region game Saturday at home.
Hindman also struck out seven batters to earn the win for the Rockets (9-2, 3-1).

Track
The Slippery Rock High School boys and girls track team had several athletes medal last Friday at the Baldwin Invitational.
Megan Stephenson finished fourth in the 100 dash with a time of 12.71 seconds. Molly Joyce also finished in seventh in the 100 hurdles (16.23).
On the boys’ side, Brady Kadlubek grabbed fourth place in the 400 (51.25). The 3,200 relay team — consisting of Mark Cessar, Josh Jones, Will Henry and Kadlubek — finished fifth with a time of 8:15.32
The 1,600 relay — with Shane Kirkwood, Jones, Nate Popejoy and Kadlubek — finished sixth in 3:32.14.
