Feb. 5 — Dalton J. Anthony, 18, of Oakland Township was charged with having marijuana and a digital scale stemming from a traffic stop last month on the 500 block of West Penn Street. Police said they stopped him shortly after 2 a.m. Jan. 13.

Anthony is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Feb. 4 — Jory C. Melik, 28, was charged with trespassing at the Greenview Gardens apartment complex Jan. 14. Police said he previously had been barred from the premises. He is charged with defiant trespass.

12:02 p.m. Feb. 3 — Ronald R. Burns, 23, of Pittsburgh allegedly took $300 from an employee’s wallet at the Boost Mobile store at the Pullman Square shopping plaza. The wallet was in the woman’s purse on the counter. Police said a security camera captured the suspect’s crime on video.

Burns is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of theft.

Feb. 3 — Police charged Terry Williams, 55, of Butler in connection with a hit-and-run accident last month on Walker Avenue. He is accused of driving away after backing into a parked vehicle around 5:25 p.m. Jan. 18.

Police said they later found Williams’ vehicle abandoned on Fairview Avenue at Center Avenue. Officers searched for, but could not find, the suspect, according to court documents.

On Jan. 21, Williams turned himself in to police, documents said. He told police that while at the top of Walker Avenue, his car started to roll backward. He was unable to stop the car, which struck the other vehicle.

“Someone began yelling at him, which scared him,” documents said, “so, that is why he left the accident scene.”

He is charged with hit-and-run and reckless driving.

2:50 p.m. Feb. 2 — Steven L. McCardle, 28, of Butler was allegedly caught with marijuana and other contraband following a traffic stop on Liberty Street. A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up a bag of suspected marijuana, a glass smoking bowl and an empty vape cartridge.

McCardle is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

1:20 p.m. Feb. 2 — Police said Jesse C. Reigh, 38, of Center Township was found with a crack pipe after he was arrested on a bench warrant at West Wayne and Liberty streets. He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Butler Twp Police10:18 p.m. Friday — Mitchel C. Ray, 19, of Butler lost control of his vehicle changing lanes during a snow storm and crashed on Route 422 west. He was not injured, but his vehicle had to be towed. Police cited him for driving too fast for conditions.Butler County Drug Task ForceFeb. 4 — Michael S. Gayhart, 37, of Butler Township was charged with having marijuana and other contraband stemming from a county probation office compliance check last month at his home in Butler Township.Authorities said probation officers found Gayhart allegedly under the influence and sleeping Jan. 17 at his Barracks Road home. Officers noticed several marijuana pipes in plain view and a search of the defendant turned up a film container with about 2.5 grams of marijuana, according to court documents.Gayhart is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

State Police, ButlerMonday — Police reported they are investigating a recent burglary at a Worth Township home, where several items totaling $295 were stolen. The break-in was reported Feb. 3 at the home on West Park Road.According to a police report, the unknown burglar broke a window to get into the home. Damage was estimated at $210. The stolen property included bed sheets, air mattresses, pillows and a hooded sweat shirt. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.8:18 a.m. Friday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Erin N. Lawson, 29, of Butler traveled down an embankment and overturned after crashing on snow-covered Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township. The vehicle ended on its roof at the bottom of the embankment.Lawson was not injured. Police cited her for driving too fast for conditions.7:37 a.m. Friday — Bailee Wojnar, 22, of Butler was uninjured when he lost control of his car on snow-covered Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township and traveled into a home’s yard before a passenger side door struck a utility pole. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.6:49 a.m. Feb. 7 — Sharon A. Moyer, 45, of Karns City lost control of her SUV and hit a tree along Center Drive in Concord Township. She was not injured, but her vehicle had to be towed. Police cited her for disregarding traffic lanes.Feb. 6 — Cody J. Delaney, 23, of Butler was charged with illegally attempting to buy a gun last year at a Center Township store. He is accused of providing false information on a background check form that was required Oct. 7 when he tried to buy the gun at the Clearview Mall’s Rural King.Delaney is charged with unlawfully attempting to buy a firearm, a felony, and unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor. He also was cited for failing to notify authorities of a change of address.9 a.m. Feb. 4 — Susan D. McGrady, 48, of Chicora was injured when she lost control of her SUV and struck a ditch on Route 68 just east of Bish Road in Donegal Township. Police said she was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.1:18 p.m. Feb. 3 — At least two people were apparently injured in a two-vehicle collision in Oakland Township. The crash occurred as Robert K. Glenn, 84, of Butler was pulling onto Route 38 north of Thorn Drive from a driveway in a pickup truck.It was unclear if Glenn was injured, according to a police report. The other driver, Tiffany A. Zanella, 25, of Butler, who was in a minivan, was not injured, but two passengers, both young children, suffered suspected minor injuries.Police cited Glenn for improperly entering a road. Zanella was cited for driving with a suspended license.Feb. 3 — An unknown vandal damaged a 54-year-old man’s pickup truck with a BB gun at some point between Jan. 27 and Feb. 3. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

State Police, Mercer7:32 p.m. Sunday — One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Springfield Township. Police said the wreck occurred when Terri S. Bowers, 28, of Mercer lost control of her sport utility vehicle and struck a ditch on Route 258.Bowers was taken to Grove City Medical Center with an apparent minor left leg injury. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions and not wearing a seat belt.
