Herta Worsley

Herta Worsley of Butler celebrated her 90th birthday with a family picnic dinner on April 27 at the Butler home of her daughter Sue Uram.

The former Herta Winkelman was born April 23, 1923, in Sislen, Switzerland. She married the late James Worsley on Dec. 14, 1945, at St. Mark’s in Butler.

She has five children, Carol Robb of Carlisle, Pa., Albert Worsley III of Butler, Sue Uram of Butler, Roxanne Worsley of Butler and Jamie Franchuk of Butler. She also has 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Worsley is retired from Magnetics.

She is a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. She bowled in the Jolley Girls, Spices and Sunrise bowling leagues.
