CRANBERRY TWP — Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic sophomore wrestler Matt Ferraro, a Mars resident, placed second at the Buckeye Local Panther Classic in Ohio recently.

Ferraro (23-11) pinned his first opponent in 5:26, won a 3-2 overtime decision in the quarterfinals and a 5-3 decision in the semifinals.

He lost by major decision, 16-5, to unbeaten Daniel Segura (32-0) of Dublin Scioto in the title match.
