No tax increase expected for Connoquenessing Township in 2027

The proposed 2027 budget for Connoquenessing Township is not expected to include a tax increase.

The draft budget — which was made public after a supervisors’ meeting Wednesday night, Nov. 4 — is a balanced one, with both revenues and expenditures projected to reach $1,255,384 in 2027.

Township will maintain an overall millage rate at 5.7 mills. This includes a 1.75-mill property tax, a 3-mill fire tax, and a 0.95-mill hydrant tax which is assessed only to property owners who live within 780 feet of a fire hydrant.

The majority of revenue in 2027 will come from taxes, with $700,000 coming from earned income tax and another $100,000 from realty transfer taxes.
