CHAMBERSBURG — State police say two people are dead in a seven-vehicle crash in south-central Pennsylvania.

Police say two passengers in a car were killed and the male driver was flown to York Hospital.

Police say the car, registered in Louisiana, was headed south on Interstate 81 in Greene Township, north of Chambersburg, about 6:40 a.m. today when the car crossed into the northbound lanes and was struck by four tractor-trailers. Police say a bus and another car were also involved in the crash.

A passenger on the bus said he and the 35 other passengers were from various states and were on their way to New York City. Police say none of them was injured.

Police say both northbound lanes and one southbound lane of I-81 remained closed at the scene as of 10 a.m.
