10:54 p.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Jianrong Chen, 31, of Butler and Sherry Hill, 68, of Kittanning collided at Old Plank Road and Grandview Boulevard.9:06 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Daniel Fritzley, 24, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, crashed on Route 422 east near the Benbrook Road overpass. Fritzley was not hurt but his pickup had to be towed from the scene.

1:51 p.m. Sunday — David W. Haught Jr., 22, of Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, was arrested on felony drug charges and for suspected drugged driving following a traffic stop in Center Township.A patrol trooper spotted the suspect's car with an expired inspection sticker and pulled over the vehicle on Route 8, about one mile north of Unionville Road.Police soon learned that Haught had an illegal license plate on his car and he had no insurance.While being searched, according to court documents, he admitted he had marijuana in a back pack that was in the vehicle's trunk. Police opened the back pack and found two baggies of suspected marijuana, weighing 31.1 grams.Additionally, police seized two digital scales and a container of suspected hashish oil that were in the back pack.Haught, who acknowledged that he has smoked marijuana about 10 a.m. that same day, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.The defendant was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony, and misdemeanor charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and altering a license plate.He also is charged with several traffic violations, including unauthorized use of a license plate, driving without valid inspection, driving without insurance, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.Following arraignment, he was placed in the Butler County Prison on $30,000 bail.Feb. 14 — Police charged Braden R. Texter, 23, of Butler with breaking into his father's home in Donegal Township last year.Homeowner Michael Texter reported his house on Turner Road was broken into June 11 but there was no forced entry. He said he was missing a 12-gauge shotgun and a .45-caliber pistol.He suspected his son, who knew where he kept his guns hidden, police said.Additionally, the victim told police “he had previously kicked his son out of the house and (the defendant) was not allowed to be there,” according to court documents.Following their investigation, police charged Texter with burglary and trespass.

8:16 p.m. Wednesday — Dana R. Ladebu, 22, of Slippery Rock was hurt when her pickup truck, stopped to make a left turn at a gas station, was rear-ended by another pickup on Route 8, just east of Mercer Road in Sandy Creek Township.Ladebu, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC Northwest in Seneca after she complained of pain following the crash.Police said the other driver, Isaac S. Baker, no age given, of Polk, was cited for careless driving.9:25 a.m. Wednesday — Jeanette M. Yackanicz, 20, of Grove City was hurt when she lost control of her sport utility vehicle, and the vehicle traveled down an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Route 208 in Clintonville. Yackanicz, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with minor injuries.Police said she was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

2:25 a.m. Wednesday — Nathen J. Aungst, 30, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at Routes 422 and 210 in Plumcreek Township.

Sunday — A thief stole a purse from an unlocked vehicle on Miller Avenue in Pine Township. The purse contained an Apple iPhone 5 and about $120 in currency. The theft happened between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
