Russell L. Poe, 95, of Sarver, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, at his residence.

Russell was born in Butler on Feb. 9, 1931, a son of the late Isabel (Gillman) and Julian Poe.

Russell was a graduate of Ken High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. In his younger years, Russell worked aboard tugboats and later worked as a laborer at Penn United in Cabot. He enjoyed spending time outdoors.

Russell is survived by his wife, Teresa (Motosicky) Poe; his daughter, Jenie (John) Gaillot, of Sarver; and his son, Russell L. (Nealy) Poe Jr., of North Carolina.

He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Jena, Jaden and Jaisa Gaillot, and Riley and Grayson Poe; and two sisters, Norma Carnahan, of New Kensington, and Sue (Vic) Friday, of New Kensington.

In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jack Carnahan.

POE — At the family’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services for Russell L. Poe, who died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026.
