5:33 p.m. Saturday — Cynthia Ann Flanigan, 54, of Butler Township was arrested for driving under the influence at a store parking lot on South Monroe Street.7:05 p.m. Friday — William E. Shaner, 27, of Butler, who was out of bail on charges he assaulted his mother earlier this year, was arrested again for allegedly attacking her at her home on East Christie Avenue.In the latest case, Shaner is accused of repeatedly punching 57-year-old Barbara Foster during the domestic dispute about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to court documents. Police noted that she sustained bruising and swelling to her left eye and bruising to her back.Foster contacted police after the alleged assault and told them she has a protective from abuse order against her son. Police arrested Shaner at the home.District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Shaner on a charge of simple assault. Haggerty set bail for Shaner at $10,000 after she learned about the PFA.Foster obtained the protective order after her son allegedly choked her during a domestic dispute at her home April 29. He was placed in the Butler County Prison but released May 2 after posting $1,500 bail, according to court records. That case is pending in Butler County Court.Shaner was placed in the county prison.5:30 p.m. Friday — Bernard A. Robinson, 53, of Butler was arrested after he was found possibly high on drugs in the YMCA parking lot. A search turned up three stamp bags of suspected heroin, two empty bags and a used syringe.Police said Robinson is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness.7:51 a.m. Tuesday — Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck on West Cunningham Street. The crash happened when a pickup truck driven by Shawn P. Bailey, 22, of Slippery Rock struck the side of a sport utility vehicle while attempting to turn onto West Birch Street.Bailey and Constance D. Codispot, 76, of Butler Township, the SUV driver, were both taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.Bailey was cited for making an improper turn.

2:21 a.m. Sunday — Arthur A. Osche, 26, of Evans City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Butler Township.1:01 a.m. Sunday — Zachary Horn, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Normal Avenue and East Cooper Street in Slippery Rock.3:17 p.m. Saturday — Adam J. Farren, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his sport utility vehicle struck a guardrail on Clearview Circle a little south of Henricks Road in Center Township. Farren, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.1:13 p.m. Thursday — Florence H. Dennis, 80, of Harrisville was hurt in a three-vehicle crash in Prospect. The wreck happened when a car driven by William A. Gamble, 51, of Ashland, Ohio, struck the rear of a minivan on Route 422 just west of Schantz Road.The collision forced the van, driven by Maria E. Collavo, 49, of Bridgeville, Allegheny County, into another minivan driven by Randy S. Dennis, 54, of Harrisville.Florence Dennis, a passenger in Randy Dennis' van, was taken to the Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries. She was wearing a seat beltGamble was cited for driving at an unsafe speed. The Unionville and Prospect volunteer fire departments assisted police.Thursday — A thief stole the tailgate off a pickup truck at a home in the 300 block of Hilliard Road in Washington Township. The tailgate is valued at $800.5:45 a.m. Aug. 8 — A Kentucky man was injured when his motorcycle slid off the road while he was changing lanes on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Benjamin E. Engle, 25, of Prestonburg, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to UPMC Passavant Cranberry with a minor injury.Engle was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.8:43 a.m. July 31 — Michael R. Tomko, 51, of Cleveland was hurt when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck an embankment on Route 138 just west of Bell Road in Washington Township. Tomko, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown off the cycle. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderate injuries.Tomko was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

4:50 p.m. Saturday — Gerald L. Rea, 48, of Harrisville was hurt when a sport utility vehicle struck the car he was driving on Old Route 8 just south of Caulter Road in Irwin Township. Rea, who wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC Northwest in Seneca with unknown injuries.Police said Eunice M. Hanna, 54, of Harrisville, was driving the SUV and was cited for making an improper left turn.

3:10 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Virgil F. Fales, 59, of Grove City backed up and struck a motorcycle parked in the Pine Grove Square parking lot in Pine Township, Mercer County. Fales did not stop after the accident.A witness provided police with the car's partial license plate number. Fales was later found and cited for hit-and-run.9:05 p.m. Friday — Two people were hurt in a one vehicle crash on East Valcourt Road just west of North Liberty Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County. Quinn M. Krivosh, 18, of Sharon, Mercer County, lost control of the sport utility vehicle, slid into an embankment and rolled over three times, ending on the driver's side.Quinn and a passenger, a female who police did not identify, were able to climb out of the passenger door window. They were flown by medical helicopters to an undisclosed hospital. Neither was wearing a seat belt.Quinn was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
