Andrew Raymond Schmidt, 50, of Butler died Aug. 3 at his home.

He was a 1973 graduate of Susquehanna Township High School and a 1978 graduate of Dickenson University.

Mr. Schmidt enjoyed listening to and playing music of all kinds, visiting the library, studying philosophy and watching his beloved Pittsburgh Pirates.

He loved his family and his family loved him.

Survivors include his mother, Ann E. Sharp Schmidt of Harrisburg; two brothers, Steven W. Schmidt of Boyds, Md., and J. Bernard Schmidt Jr. of Harrisburg; a sister, Julie Ann Schmidt of Ocean City, Md.; several nieces and nephews, and a grandniece.

He was preceded in death by his father, J. Bernard Schmidt Sr.

<B>SCHMIDT </B>— A Mass of Christian burial for Andrew Raymond Schmidt, who died Thursday, Aug. 3,2006, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Aug. 21 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Harrisburg, with the Rev. Paul Shuda officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Harrisburg.Arrangements are being directed by the <B>Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, </B>Harrisburg.
