Albert Rizzo

Rizzo

Albert Carmen Rizzo, 93, of Mount Washington, passed away peacefully Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his cherished wife, Bobbie; children, Patrick Rizzo (Leanne), Ellen Cyphers (Robert), Rosemary Boswell (Michael) and Claire Rizzo; and grandson, John Rizzo (Avery).

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Lou (Rita) Rizzo, Josephine Demma (John) and John Rizzo.

Al served in the Army and retired after 37 years from Equitable Gas Company.

His passions in retirement included woodworking and gardening. Many were the friends and neighbors who enjoyed tomatoes and peppers from the bounty of his backyard garden. Another favored pastime of his was spending time at the beach with his family.

At home, Al was known above all for an open-door policy — there was always a hearty welcome as well as food and drink for anyone who dropped by. He was known to all the neighbors and freely shared tools and repair advice.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff at Sherwood Oaks, where Al spent his final years, for their kindness, care and compassion.
