Grove City Trade Show brings neighbors together
GROVE CITY — Eric Thomas, owner of the Guthrie Theater, helped pop popcorn Saturday at the Grove City Trade Show, while at the same time he caught up with neighbors and friends.
"I think this is good for our business to be seen, and it gives us additional exposure in the community," Thomas said. "This is a place to meet and greet."
Thomas also said the 10th annual trade show sponsored by the Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce gave neighbors a place to see each other, and businesses a place to interact with each other.
People were lined up all the way down the hallway Saturday morning just before the show began at 9 a.m. at the Grove City College Physical Learning Center.
Beth Black, executive director of the chamber, said she expected about 3,500 people to pass through by the end of the day.
"We expected people to turn out for the 10th year because they've come to know a great event with lots of vendor interaction, and it's a beautiful day," Black said. "We have a lot of new vendors this year and it's exciting that people are trying it out, especially this year."
Brittany Fulton of Springfield Township said she likes connecting with new friends at the show.
"I like to see them and I like to see what's new in the community," Fulton said.
More than 150 businesses participated at the show.
