Skander Tire & Auto opens location at Lyn-Mar Plaza
BUTLER TWP — A familiar name to residents of Evans City, Skander Tire & Auto expanded its presence in Butler County by opening a second location at Lyn-Mar Plaza in Butler Township in early September.
Skander Tire & Auto filled the space previously occupied by Kar-Kare, another auto repair business which closed years ago.
According to owner Alex Skander, the new location can perform all of the services as the first location in Evans City, with a few exceptions.
“We are equipped to offer all the same services here as we do at Evans City, with the small exception of state inspections. We will be able to do state inspections within about one week,” Skander said. “We don’t yet offer state emissions testing either. We intend to add that one soon.”
While Skander says he would like to expand further with more locations, he is focused on making sure the second location in Butler Township is healthy first.
“For now, we're going to focus on optimizing this location and making sure that it delivers the same quality that location No. 1 does,” Skander said. “Some people who liked our service enough in Evans City but actually live in Butler and Lyndora have found out that we have this new location. It's a lot more convenient for them.
“So far, it’s been smooth sailing.”
