CRANBERRY TWP — The Seneca Valley School District in conjunction with the Cranberry Township Police will stage an active shooter drill on Monday to practice in the event of a crisis.

The drill, which is not public, will take place at Haine elementary and the middle schools in Cranberry.

The drill will include a confrontation that will simulate gunshots being fired in a classroom. Police and emergency medical service providers will then respond to the school.

Several police departments and emergency responders will participate.

Officials said the drill will be evaluated by Penn State Fayette’s Center for Community and Public Safety.
