Gladys R. McClafferty, 94, of Sunnyview Home, formerly of Oak Hills Heights, died Saturday at Sunnyview.

Born in Butler, July 4, 1912, she was the daughter of Jack F. and Nettie Dougan Dougherty.

She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

She was an avid reader.

Surviving are a son, Ralph J. McClafferty Jr. of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Toni) McCormick of Butler and Mrs. James (Judy) Woodford of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. "Boogie" McClafferty Sr.; a daughter; a brother; and two grandchildren.

McClafferty, who died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery.Members of the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday at the church.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Butler Public Library, 218 N.
