A man found dead Saturday morning in Lawrence County has been identified.

State police said John Hogue, 58, of New Castle, was found dead in a wooded area just off the road around 1090 Houk Road.

The New Castle barracks dispatched a criminal investigation unit to process the scene. An autopsy was performed Sunday.

“No traumatic injuries were discovered,” the police release stated, adding that toxicology results are pending.

Investigators are asking the public for information about a dark green van believed to be a Ford Econoline that had been parked in the victim’s driveway before his death.
