Park rules broken? Adams Twp. says call police

ADAMS TWP — Township officials are asking residents to contact police if they see someone violating the rules in the township park.

“You're all residents,” said Russell Ford, supervisor chairman. “You're all taxpayers.”

As warm weather draws more people outside, Ford said the park will be the site for many gatherings and activities.

As a result, the potential for infractions, such as parking on grass and walking dogs without leashes, will increase.

Ford reminded the public the park is built and maintained by taxpayer money.

“If you see it, please report it,” Ford said. “It's not just our park; it's actually yours.”

West property trailWork is finishing up on the trail being cut into the former West property, according to Haley Geyer, township parks and recreation director. The West property is located south of the existing township park and west of Aiken and Taylor Ridge lanes. The trail will be the “main connection” to the former Wygal property, the 102-acre farm along Hutchman Road the township bought in February.“Signs have been ordered,” Geyer said. “We're hoping to have that ... open.”Geyer cautioned that the West property trail is steep. The township continues developing its trail system. “A lot more trails are coming,” Geyer said.
