New tire shop replaces Elliott’s in Butler
Steve Shannon Tire and Auto Centers has chosen Butler to open its 61st shop.
Herb Shannon said he and two brothers, who bought the business from their father, opened the shop in Butler on Sept. 14 at the location of Elliott’s Tire Service at 236 E. Cunningham St. after the owner retired.
“We’re a family business based in Bloomsburg,” Shannon said Friday. “We’re going to be a good local business to the community like Elliott’s was.”
He said the new shop offers the same services as its predecessor and possibly a few more. Services include new tires, recaps, brakes, alignments, oil changes and other vehicle maintenance. Shannon’s is a Michelin tire dealer, he added.
“We’re a full service shop,” Shannon said.
Shannon’s 60 other shops are located in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.
