Alan C. Lorish, 82, of Cranberry Township died Saturday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born Jan. 30, 1924, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Charles A. and Edna Victor Lorish.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Rochester.

Mr. Lorish was a World War II Navy veteran and retired as a brakeman at Conrail in 1981.

He enjoyed golfing and dancing.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lorish; two sons, Robert L. Lorish and his wife, Bette, of Franklin Park and Alan C. Lorish Jr. and his wife, Demaris, of Sterling, Va.; two daughters, Carol O'Shea and her husband, Tim, of Cranberry Township and Linda Caldwell and her husband, Bill, of Ross Township; 12 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Henrietta R. Lorish, who died in March 1980; a brother, Jack Lorish, and a sister, Dorothy Ward.

Lorish, who died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the<B> Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Frank Garlathy, his church pastor, officiating.Burial will be at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Shaler Township.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 100 W.
