James Bardoner

James Orran Bardoner, 89, of Valencia went to be with His Lord, his wife and family from his home Friday morning after a brief illness.
James was born April 18, 1917, in his parent's home, John William and Mary Ann Park McIntyre Bardoner, on Naylor Avenue in Allison Park.
James Bardoner was a lifetime Hampton Township resident.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
James was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, where he was a 33 Degree Mason. He served as the past master of Zaradatha Lodge 448 of Sharpsburg, which later merged in 1994 with the John E. Mair Lodge 729 of Mars. James was also a member of the Shrine.
He worked for Gulf Oil for 36 years as a driver, driver-trainer, safety inspector and plant supervisor.
In 1965 James began serving as the Hampton Township tax collector until 1984.
He was a lifetime member of the Allison Park Community Church, which later became the Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and deacon. James also was a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church of Cape Coral, Fla.
James Orran Bardoner is survived by two daughters, Nana Marie (Pat) Carr of Valencia and Sandra Lee (Steve) Rodenbaugh of Medina, Ohio; a son, Dr. James Bradley (Dianne) Bardoner of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Viola Mae (Bardoner) Zimmerman; sisters-in-law, Sally Bardoner Williams and Bessie English Bardoner; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Jean Owrey; brothers, Dr. John Nicolas Bardoner II, Samuel Edward Bardoner, and William Stuart Bardoner; and a sister, Esther Marie Gilliard.
<B>BARDONER</B> — Friends of James Orran Bardoner, who died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, were received Saturday and Sunday at the <B>BOCK FUNERAL HOME</B>, Glenshaw.A funeral service was at 10 a.m. today at the Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, Allison Park.Interment followed at the Bardoner Family Plot at Mt. Royal Cemetery.The John E. Mair Lodge 729 held at service Sunday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, Butler County Hospice or the John E. Mair Lodge Building Fund.
