Neigh 80th birthday
Floyd Neigh of Butler celebrated his 80th birthday with dinner and a party with family and friends.
Neigh was born Sept. 3, 1935, in Carbon Center. He married the former Dolores M. Frye on April 28, 1956, at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church.
He has five children, Debra (Steve) Monteleone of Butler, Kathleen (Terry) Steinheiser of Renfrew, Lisa (Greg) Putney of Butler, the late Sheila Franz and the late Jeffery Neigh. He also has 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
Neigh served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956 in Korea. He retired from Sprint Telephone Co. after 39 years of service.
He is a member of Marine Corps League Bantam Det. 743, Happy Hunter Sportsman Club, East Butler Fire Department and American Legion Post 117. He is a member of St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic minister.
Neigh’s hobbies include playing cards with his poker club, golfing, camping, fishing, woodworking, gardening and painting on slate. He also enjoys his frequent breakfasts with friends and meeting with retired coworkers.
