Kenneth R. Glenn
Kenneth Richard Glenn, 95, of Somerset died Monday at his home.
Born Oct. 20, 1911, in Butler, he was the son of Roy and Estella Young Glenn.
A 1929 alumnus of Butler High School, he was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Academy in Hershey and retired in 1967 as a state police officer. After his retirement, he worked for the Mental Health Department of 15 years.
He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and had been a prisoner of war.
Mr. Glenn was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler. He also was a member of the National State Police Association and American Legion Post 181 in Somerset.
He was an avid sportsman and had played semi-pro football, tennis and golf and enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Garnet R. Romesburg Glenn, to whom he was married for 58 years, and a sister, Valda Glenn Warren of Butler.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
