Le Roy B. Groves
Le Roy Burtner Groves, 90, died Saturday in Orlando, Fla.
He was born March 10, 1916, in Butler and had lived in Orlando since 1959.
Mr. Groves was an Army veteran and served in the Republic of Panama and in the Korean War.
He retired from Cape Canaveral as a technical writer.
He loved to bowl, and in his retirement, he bowled as many as four days a week until the age of 88.
Surviving are his devoted wife of 53 years, Bernyce R. Groves; five loving children, Carolyn Meade of New Port Richey, Fla., Daniel Bohannon (Vicki) of Orlando, Alice Hopkins (Ron) of Narcoossee, Fla., Chrystal Francois (Michael) of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; Rosetta Ginther (Dennis) of Orlando; 11 adoring grandchildren; 10 beloved great-grandchildren; and four sisters.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother and four sisters.
<B>GROVES</B> — A gathering for family and friends of Le Roy Burtner Groves, who died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007, will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the <B>Baldwin Fairchild Conway Chapel</B>, 1413 S.
