John G. Myers, 94, of Worthington died Tuesday at the Kittanning Care Center.

Born Nov. 22, 1912, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of Cyrus and Sudie Kimmel Myers.

He was a retired steelworker.

For 40 years, he was a member of the First Church of God in North Apollo; and for the past 10 years, he had attended the Worthington Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Sonya Nichol of Worthington; two sons, Richard B. Myers of Ford City and Dr. Dennis Myers of Palm Coast, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Myers; three sisters; and two brothers.

Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Worthington Baptist Church, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Simpson officiating.Burial will be at the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery.
