Cranberry approves hotel development
CRANBERRY TWP — The township supervisors Thursday night paved the way for a new suites hotel to build at the intersection of Rochester and Graham School roads.
They voted to approve final plans for the project.
Mallards Landing is a six-story, 44-suite, 67,862-square foot hotel development on 4.9 acres. The hotel's chain was not revealed by the developer.
The suites-style hotel is for business people and others who will have extended stays in the township, according to architect Fritz Baehr.
Construction is expected to start next year.
Jason Kratsas, township director of engineering, had said the hotel expects to add 26 vehicles to the road during afternoon peak traveling hours.
Improvements that will be made to Rochester Road include a traffic signal at the intersection of Rochester and Graham School roads.
