ZELIENOPLE — A series of car break-ins has brought a warning from Police Chief James Miller for people to lock their cars and report any suspicious activity.

Miller said about 15 to 20 cars have been burglarized in the last three to four weeks, prompting police to open an investigation and solicit the public's help in catching the criminals.

The chief also said the suspect or suspects are stealing money, music players and "anything else that's loose in the car" that they could sell for money. He also said almost all of the burglarized cars are sitting unlocked on the borough's streets and that all of the break-ins have occurred at night.

Miller also asked residents to report any suspicious activity to 911, which will then dispatch officers to the scene of the activity.
