Aug. 31 — Thomas V. Gibson, 49, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a one-vehicle crash Aug. 1 on New Castle Road. Police said Gibson’s vehicle about 5:20 p.m. struck the curb near Chili’s Grill & Bar at Butler Commons
In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with reckless driving, careless driving, illegal use of a license plate, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving without insurance.

Thursday — An unknown thief stole three shotguns and other property in a burglary at a 30-year-old man’s home on Northridge Lane in Center Township.
Along with the guns, taken was a Samsung 40-inch television, a Sony PlayStation 4 console and seven video games, two guitars, and a small bag of coins.
The break-in and theft happened between 6:50 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
Sept. 2 — Nathan Ferraro, 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 and Wesley Lane in Summit Township.
Aug. 27 — A wallet was stolen from a 23-year-old woman’s vehicle at a home on New Hope Road in Cherry Township. The theft happened between 11:30 p.m. Aug. 26 and 9 a.m. Aug. 27.
6:53 p.m. Aug. 26 — Joseph M. Tedesco, 36, of Ford City, Armstrong County, was caught with suspected drugs and contraband following a traffic stop in Route 356 near Harbison Road in Buffalo Township. Tedesco is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
9:43 p.m. Aug. 21 — Terry L. Harvey, 51, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Interstate 79 south at the Route 228 exit in Cranberry Township.

3:43 a.m. Sunday — A 24-year-old Butler woman, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she traveled into a blocked off section of a construction zone on Route 66 in Manor Township.
Saturday — An unknown burglar stole a .22-caliber handgun from a home in the 1200 block of Tartown Road in East Franklin Township.
5:13 p.m. Friday — A motorcyclist was injured when he struck the back of a pickup driven by Brian S. Lasko, 35, of Sarver on Route 28 north just east of Ravine Street in Sharpsburg, Allegheny County.
Myron L. Webb Jr., 35, of Vandergrift, who was wearing a helmet was thrown off his cycle after hitting the pickup, which was stopped at a traffic light. Webb was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries.
8:27 a.m. Friday — A 34-year-old Freeport man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he was stopped for speeding on Route 422 east in Manor Township.
9:54 p.m. Thursday — A teenager was hurt in a one-vehicle wreck in North Buffalo Township. The driver, Taylor M. Bowling, 19, of Natrona Heights, Allegheny County, was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights with minor injuries.
Police said Bowling lost control of his car when it hydroplaned on rain-soaked Route 28 north and struck a cement barrier. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]
6:49 a.m. Friday — A car driven by John W. Russ, 61, of Grove City struck a tree that had fallen across Center Church Road just south of Gordon Drive in Pine Township, Mercer County. Russ was not hurt but his car had to be towed.
12:30 p.m. Thursday — An unidentified vehicle struck a car on Interstate 79 north in Plain Grove Township. The unknown driver did not stop.
Police said the hit-and-run crash happened as Mary E. Shirley, 62, of Rural Valley was passing a tractor-trailer. The suspect vehicle, while merging into the left lane, hit Shirley’s car.
Wednesday — Hunting equipment and money were stolen from a vehicle at a 20-year-old man’s home on Brent Drive in Liberty Township, Mercer County. Taken was a Trophy Ridge brand bow stabilizer, a knife, back pack, and $40 in coins and small bills.
A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects in the theft that happened between 12:10 a.m. and noon.
12:32 a.m. Sept. 4 — Logan P. Miller, 20, of Sandy Lake was arrested after he entered a 58-year-old man’s home on Creek Road in Worth Township, Mercer County, without the owner’s permission. He was caught in a nearby field following the call.
Miller was arraigned on a felony charge of trespass. He also is charged with resisting arrest, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness. He was placed in the Butler County Prison before being released Tuesday after posting $50,000 bail.
Sept. 3 — An unknown thief stole a Cranberry Township woman’s license plate while her car was parked at the Premium Outlets in Springfield Township. The theft happened between 7:15 and 8:04 p.m.
