Keypoint moves to SR Township
SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — The building on Arrowhead Drive that used to be occupied by the First National Bank of Slippery Rock’s data center has a new tenant.
Keypoint Government Solutions, which was previously in Grove City, moved into the building in February with about 80 employees.
The data center in December moved to Hermitage following the bank’s merger with the First National Bank of Pennsylvania.
Mike Bencic, majority owner of Arrowhead Point Partners, said one half of the building still is unoccupied.
Keypoint did not return calls for comments.
The company, which is headquartered in Colorado, provides specialized investigative services to federal government agencies in the civilian, intelligence and defense sectors, according to its website.
Bencic said the Slippery Rock area, particularly the township, is likely to experience some business growth. That is because companies in the area, such as those in Cranberry Township, are looking to expand and being close to Interstate 79 is attractive to them.
“I think you are going to see a lot of potential business coming into northern Butler County,” he said. “We’re only 50 minutes to downtown Pittsburgh. Most people will drive an hour.”
