In Gary Poole's letter to the editor in defense of Congressman Phil English's vote to deny funding for Planned Parenthood, he claims it is a "a callous, deceptive organization." What are truly callous and deceptive organizations are the anti-choice groups that occupy former abortion provider sites and lure women with deceptive advertising and provide them only with the choice of adoption. Abortion is legal in this country and opposition is largely religiously based. Government discrimination against Planned Parenthood solely because they provide this legal procedure can not be justified by a secular government.
