HICKORY, Pa. — The driver of a pickup truck was killed and 30 students injured when the truck collided with a school bus on a Western Pennsylvania road.

State police and the Washington County coroner say 31 of the 49 people on the bus, including the bus driver, were injured in the accident. Police say none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.

The crash, around noon Thursday, happened on Route 18 in Mount Pleasant Township, about 20 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.

Officials with the Burgettstown Area School District confirmed one of its buses was involved.

The Washington County coroner identified the driver of the pickup as 43-year-old Brian Nehus, of Oakdale.
