You are so right about young graduates desperate for teaching jobs! Most of them have to move out of state to teach. Get these teachers back to teaching and if the say they will strike again, hire ones who WANT TO TEACH!!! A 6% raise to attract and retain????.. A 2% would attract any young graduate. Why retain any of these teachers? They want to compaire their salaries with other companies and professions, let them but as other businesses would do and say, "get to work or you're out the door"! So get back to work. The school district should have a list of subs to teach should they strike again. So any of these younger graduates apply now to be a sub, who knows you may end up with a decent job!
