Mary/Teacher Accountabillity

I have heard about The "No Child Left Behind Law". I do have a special needs child. I feel sorry for these children because, the teachers are getting an overload in this particular category. More help is needed in classrooms to accomodate these kids. The hatred towards this law from schools, has a devastating negative impact on our children. We are aware of the so called gliches, however, as teachers and parents we do have an obligation to get past this mentality and work with these kids to the best of our ability. All children do have a right to learn and be accomodated if they cannot. Parents do have a right to have this in their school for the child. So now we have the pressured teachers; and what happens? Home and school are enemies and the child is worse off. Perhaps school principal's should, Go Ahead and hold my school accountable and then break it down and show why this cannot be perfected. Writing a letter to Congress with valid reasoning could help. But why continue to fight? It is what it is. Ask yourself why are schools mad over accountability. What is the real problem? Accountability shows exactly what the children are learning. If this is such a problem, maybe the learning technique itself needs adjusted. We are all made to look at the the real problem. Too many kids graduated and read on a fourth grade level. Why? Severely learning disabled students need perhaps expensive learning techniques that are not available because of cost. Too much pressure is being put on everyone. That in itself is a negative on our children. Fighting is not the answer. Resentment is not the anser, putting parents down is not the answer. Mistreating children is not the answer. Parents and schools at odds, is not the answer. Everyone needs to do their best, it is the obligation of every parent and teacher, for the students sake. No matter what our laws are, our children are our future, and helping them be the best they can be is our present. Please excuse any possible typos, I am what some call human. Thank You
