Tom/drugs
I also thought it was an excellent idea. Only how can it fall under discrimination when companies test employees? Now a days any company that you try to get into gives drug tests, yet also have to follow discrimination laws. So if the potential employee doesn't pass they don't get the job, and they can't go and sue the company for discrimination. Also I don't see anywhere in the laws stating that drug use is a discrimination. I think (don't quote me) it's race, sex, & religious beliefs. I think I am missing 1 or 2, but you get the drift.
The state would say it costs to much, but then again that's where they can do random testing.
Just a thought.
