Ron reveals why places like Butler fall to ruin

No, Ron, try a little harder. You need to rethink your definition of a "right". A right is not defined in the first instance by a law. In a constitutional democracy, laws reflect the values of a society that agrees to be bound by them, and are supposed to be designed for the greatest benefit of the greatest number. They are not "created" by elected officials. Officials are elected to represent the interests and values of their constituents, not to be tyrannical, despotic rulers who tell everyone else what to do just because they can. See, Ron, that's what that little thing back in 1776 was all about. What we got us here in the U. S. of A. is a government OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people.

"Rights" are protected by laws, they are not created by laws. Laws are created by people who desire protection for rights that they acknowledge and agree upon. Those agreed upon rights are established by logic, discourse, and consent. As applied to a developed legal process, they can become codified. Laws can also be enacted by way of various governmental agencies, which are themselves created by laws that give them the authority so to do. Law is also developed at the court level, where cases of first impression are heard and decisions are rendered by learned people who study law and legal processes, thereby becoming case law which then serves as precedent in subsequent matters.

Dr. Adalja never, ever, not once, not in the most extreme distortion of his comments, advocated breaking any laws. What he advocates is CHANGING laws. Get it yet, Ron?

Maybe you should take a moment alone now so you can absorb this, instead of being the perpetual retread who comes to lecture without ever doing his homework and drags the whole class down.

Our republic was successfully founded on the principle that all are born with certain inalienable rights, simply by virtue of being human - that is, no government has the authority to deny any living, breathing, viable person certain rights, such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

By the way, the founders of our nation most definitely would have used the unparalleled communicative powers of the Internet, had the digital revolution occurred in their time.
