MOON — Robert Morris University near Pittsburgh has settled a court dispute over its right to that name with Robert Morris College in Chicago.

The Illinois school gained university status in 2005 and sued for the right to also be called Robert Morris University in a federal court in Illinois.

The schools have settled the suit by agreeing that the Chicago school will be called Robert Morris University Illinois, and use the acronym RMUI. The school in Moon Township will continue to use the Robert Morris University that it trademarked when it became a university in 2002.
