BLOOMSBURG — A northeastern Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty to poisoning as many as seven of his neighbor's cats with antifreeze.

Twenty-seven-year-old Franklin Snyder of Berwick says he got sick of the cats tearing up his property and garbage bags.

He told a Columbia County judge that police and humane officers didn't help him, so he took matters into his own hands.

He says the neighbor has more than 40 cats and that he considers them to be "just rodents."

Judge Scott Naus says Snyder faces up to five years in prison for animal cruelty.
