cable

Judi, if you paid $6.95 for cable service in 1975 you should now be paying approximately $27.45 according to inflation.

We all pay more than that, don't we? Cable companies could provide a la carte (you choose what channels you want) but they won't do it. I have had Direcr TV for about 10 months and the current deal is not bad because I get discounts for signing up for a year. Be careful though, they automatically through in some additional stuff like a magazine that costs extra. I had problems early on, like my picture and sound would go off when the refrigerator came on. After two trips they replaced the same part and since then it has been OK. A service call is $70.00 but I threatened to cancel and didn't pay it. In two months I'll lose the discounts so I'll be negotiating with Comcast and Dish Network to see where the better deal is.
