PITTSBURGH — The wife of one of three Pittsburgh police officers fatally shot in April says she believes deer, not vandals, are to blame for some disarray at his grave.

Marena Kelly and Allegheny Cemetery manager Chuck Kelly both told a Pittsburgh newspaper they believe deer have damaged or moved objects at the grave of Officer Eric Kelly.

Frances Kelly, the officer's mother, had previously told the newspaper that roses next the grave were cut with scissors and that wreaths, a stuffed animal and balloons were moved or thrown around.
