Taxes.
I am irate when I hear people with children bragging about their tax rebate of "10,000" when they have put basically nothing into the system. I understand the need for childcare, but these rebates are ridiculous. Some of these people rarely, barely work and are capable of doing much more. I do not begrudge the ones who work full time and then some. Another thing that really gripes me is all these people that rent and pay no school taxes. I realize the landlord pays taxes on the property, but I think each person, regardless of income should be assessed a dollar amount on each child enrolled in our schools---$500 per child might help. There are many of us out here, me included, whose children are grown, and who have always owned and pay substantial property taxes. I pay around $2,000 a year and for what? I was never fortunate enough to learn how to navigate the system to my advantage. Maybe, just maybe, our school taxes would go down if these people who use the schools pitch in. Oh, I'm sure they will say they can't afford it. Well neither can I nor the many seniors out their on fixed incomes who find their taxes rising every year. There is also so much waste in ridiculous programs in Butler County. I have examples of this, but then that would identify me under HIPAA. LOL. Right now I work at least 50 hours a week just to keep my head above water.
There are truly needy people out there and we are not reaching them. And then at least 50% are players, know the system, and how to get it all free and still complain. (PS lay off the alcohol and smokes and maybe you could afford to live.) Oh, I know it's a disease. Don't think I don't know about all this because this woman has been there and DID NOT use the system.
All you should be ashamed of yourselves and get your lazy behinds out of bed and learn to work. Use the muscles and brains God gave you. Let the truly needy and seniors have the help they deserve. And above all I would pay much more in taxes to support our American Soldiers. There you go----problem solved. Send these loafers to Iraq and make men/women out of them. And as far as that new prison. I just can't believe the money we are putting into giving them the lap of luxury. It PRISON PEOPLE!! It's not supposed to be a country club. We should follow the lead of Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Maricopa County (You can look that up on internet) He's got them on chain gangs, living in tents, wearing pink underwear and since they have the right to have cable, he gives them two choices, I believe it's Disney and Christian. The rate of recitivism is very low when Joe's done with you. We should follow his example. That means taxes saved for ALL the TAXPAYERS Go Joe.
