Butler County's great daily newspaper

Be thankful for what your district offers

Just a little side note for all of those who are concerned with Campbell Bus Company. I grew up in Prospect, but went to Slippery Rock Middle School, and high school. I caught the bus at 6:50 in the morning, when it was still dark outside. My bus ride was over an hour long, but I have zero complaints on the drivers. Which most are still there. The drivers were great, and truely were concerned about our safety. My main point to all who live in Butler County is you really should be grateful for what you have. I work in a school district where parents have to pay $120.00 a semester for their child to have a bus pass. I always thought the public school system had to provide two additional things besides an education and those were, food and transportation. Wrong!!! So just be thankful that you not only don't have to pay out of your pockets for your child to get to school, but also for the fact that you do not have to drive them there yourself. If you don't like the process of your public school transportation system...then put your children in your car and drive them there yourself.
