Airport checkpoints closed due to grenade
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh International Airport closed its security checkpoints and an internal commuter train for about a half hour Thursday after an inert hand grenade was found in a passenger's bag.
The passenger told police the grenade was a present for his son. The man from Beaver Falls was released after police determined he wasn't a threat.
