Again, lets say teachers are not to blame for any failings of students. Even if this is not the subject. It is the fact that a teacher can not call a parent yes call not send a note, email etc...it is there job. They should follow up just like everyone else. There job does not end when the school bell rings. I dont care if a students parents dont care. That does not let the teacher off the hook. They get paid to educate by any means. Now I am not saying they follow the child home and make sure they do it. That is the parents job. But if there is a issue, the teacher always knows if the child is failing, not doing there homework. Etc....I have a professional position as well and I am sorry if a user calls me and they have an issue with a pc, server etc... and they are not being helpful I cant just say well I cant help them, I have to grin and bear it. Same for a teacher if a parent doesnt want to help. The teacher still has to try and motivate the student by what ever means. No copouts like the parent doesnt care.

Geez, I am so tired of lazy people. Just because someone else has an excuse or is lazy or whatever that person wants off the hook to. How bout this worry about your job and self not how a parent is not doing there job, just do yours and how your supposed to.
