Has anybody noticed the amount of cigarette butts tossed out of car windows? They are everywhere. There was a bit on the news about the cost of the removal of butts from the Liberty Tubes n Pittsburgh.

Why do smokers feel the right to toss butts out the window? They are NOT biodegradable. The filter is made from plastic. They usually end up in sewers or in lakes. Test it yourself. Put a butt in your front yard and watch how long it will lay there.

I think smokers are basically PIGS. Every car that I know of has an ash tray, but for some unknown reason, smokers feel they are better than everyone else and are allowed to litter, no matter where they are...including at the beach. I'm ranting now, but we went to the beach this summer and it was completely littered with butts... exactly what I want my child to step on in her barefeet.

C'mon smokers, quit being HOGS, use your ashtray!!
