I'm not going to get into an agrument over how hard a teacher's job may or may not be. Just like any job that I do not perform I cannot pretend to know the ins and outs of it. I will say however, that the both the teachers and school board must work together and both must compromise to come to an agreement. The school board's negoiatior has been unwilling to do either. Thomas W. King, III is the only one that benefits from a contract disput. The longer it goes on the more money he makes. We cannot let Mr. King and his associates to prolong this disput by not bargaining on any issues. The teachers are asking for a lot, the board is offering very little, someone in the middle the truth lies. We, the taxpayers of South Butler must impress on the board that we want a quick and fair solution to this disput.
