Leah do you have kids because if you do you should know that when your children are in school the school is responsible for them during those hours.Yes as a parent you are to send lunch money or pack a lunch but when you pay for your childs lunch you expect them to eat.Mistakes are made such as your check being applied to another student or your child forget the check miscalculations are made we are all human.What is wrong with sending a notice home that x amount of dollars is owed, call the parents to make sure they are aware the money is owed, or mail a letter all of the above items are done pertaining to anything else why not lunch accounts?Don't just not feed someone.If you did not feed your children at home Social Services would be at your door so fast why are schools getting away with it?And yes back in the day we did pay weekly and receive tickets obviously that is not what the schools do anymore which is not the parents fault that again is a procedure set up by the school district.
